Anytime someone mentions that NASA is a waste of time, money, and resources, I ask them a simple question. “Why did the dinosaurs go extinct?” They usually come up with a reasonable answer describing meteor strike, global food shortage, and some even mention the Chicxulub Crater in Mexico. My response: “No. Because they didn’t have a space program.” Takes a few seconds but it pretty much always sinks in deep.
